I am PhD Candidate at the International Hellenic University, School of Science and Technology in Thessaloniki, Greece. I received the B.Sc. degree in Applied Informatics from University of Macedonia, Greece and the M.Sc. degree in e-Business and Digital Marketing from International Hellenic University, Greece. My research activity has focused on machine learning and prediction in betting markets, NLP and sentiment analysis. I have also conducted research in fake news detection examining both the theoretical and technical challenges of the disinformation problem. Currently, I am working on machine learning and semantic web oriented to language acquisition aiming to provide both the academic community and the business world with valuable insights.
